About Me
Hi, I’m Karen James and I set up Cloud VA in 2004. With over 25 years secretarial experience and a degree in Business Management. I felt starting my own business offering virtual assistance was an excellent way of making use of my knowledge, experience and skills.
I’ve worked in a variety of places including hospitals, GP surgery, theatre, pub chain, care centre, advertising agency and the civil service.
As well as carrying out general typing, filing, photocopying and answering calls, I’ve also:
- Transcribed audio for hospital consultants, counsellors, lecturers and students
- Carried out email customer support for a business networking site
- Set up and managed product, employee and contacts databases
- Organised pub promotions such as an ice cream festival, beer festivals and entertainment events
- Produced a company newsletter
- Wrote and distributed press releases
- Updated websites
